30 Days of Prompts!

Hello everyone!

If there's anything you should know about me, it's that I love coming up with thirty-day challenges for my favorite fandoms. While traditional thirty-day challenges are a great starting point for fandom dwellers, I prefer a little more substance... that's where my version comes in!

Instead of listing your favorite characters or scenes, this challenge is designed to make you flex your creative muscles. Some prompts specify whether you should draw or write, but most are flexible — feel free to play into your strengths or step outside your comfort zone!

This challenge has no deadline, and you don't need to post every day if you don't want to. The purpose is to get people thinking and posting, so if you want to pick and choose prompts, feel free! However, anyone who posts for all thirty prompts will receive a custom title, so that should be a good incentive.

Anyway, I'm sure you're wondering what the prompts are, so here we go!

1. Let's start with an easy one! Draw your favorite character.

2. Time to send your love across the miles... write a heartfelt letter from one character to another.

3. There are plenty of characters named after plants. Choose one that isn't and a plant you associate them with.

4. We know about the specialty bread from some of the districts, but what about the ones we don't? Pick a district and make up your own recipe.

5. We've seen the Reapings for the District Twelve victors, but what happened to the other characters? Choose one to tell us about.

6. Every tribute makes it to the Capitol by train, so show us someone's best — or worst — train ride.

7. The Capitol has the most lavish food and fashion. What's the most decadent dish you can think of?

8. Effie's dress is ruined! What happened?

9. Now that that's over with... Effie needs a new outfit. What do you have for her?

10. There's a song for every occasion — write one, and tell us what it's used for.

11. Imagine you're a nationally famous stylist. What district do you pick, and what do you make the tributes wear for each event?

12. Training scores tell us about tributes' skills before they enter the arena. What score did your favorite tribute get?

13. The books don't show us what all the tribute interviews are like, so you get to pick a character to show off! Include an iconic quote.

14. If you were in the Games, what token would you take into the arena? Remember, no special advantages!

15. Can't sleep? What does a tribute do the night before the Games?

16. It's time to enter the arena... draw this year's tribute uniforms.

17. How would you win the Games? What's your strategy?

18. Tell us the story behind a tribute who didn't make it back home.

19. It can be hard saying goodbye to your loved ones... tell us how another district does their funerals.

20. No time to be sad! Once you're a victor, you live like a king. Give us a house tour in the Victors' Village.

21. Every victor has a hobby, so tell us what your favorite victor would do after the Games.

22. Time for round two... talk about a victor's first time as a mentor.

23. The Quarter Quells have been planned since the Dark Days. Tell us what new rules are in store.

24. Imagine that another district got destroyed like Thirteen. Which district would cover its specialty, and how?

25. If Beetee made you a custom weapon, what would it be? What fancy features would it have?

26. We need some hope in these dark times. Show us what weddings look like in another district.

27. The Hunger Games is nowhere close to a fairy tale... but if it were, which one would it be?

28. Panem needs a new anthem... why don't you write one?

29. It's the first day of our new lives. What does your favorite character do after the revolution?

30. Finally... it's your turn to rewrite the story. What will you decide to change? What is the new ending?

Just for the record: some of the wording is different between the written post and the graphic. Unfortunately, space was tight, so I had to cut some corners to get everything to fit on one image. If you need clarification on anything, feel free to ask, or leave it up to artistic interpretation!
