August 19 is World Photography Day, and this year Kyodo is celebrating the art of photography by inviting everyone to showcase their unique perspective.

Theme: Everyday is Beautiful

Using this theme as inspiration, participants are invited to submit one original photograph that captures the beauty found in everyday life. There is no right or wrong interpretation, this challenge is all about personal creativity, storytelling, and artistic expression.

All participants will receive the frame below, the top 20 entries will earn the exclusive matching bubble.

Requirements

• Participants must submit an original photo, meaning the photo must be self captured and watermarked. Photos can be taken on any device.

• Post an article with your original photo, and give a brief description/explanation why it correlates with the theme of the contest.

• Use hashtag #worldphotographyday and include your Kyodo global link on your article.
